Our Classes
Gentle Flow (Hatha)
Hatha yoga is usually a slower-paced practice where poses (asana) are held for a few breaths. At the beginning of the Hatha class we will practice breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation in addition to the asanas.
This is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or if you want to deepen your practice because you get the time and space to become familiar with yoga poses. This style can still be challenging too!
Open to all levels.
Basic Yoga
Basic yoga is a good introduction to the practice and asanas. Offering a variety of different yoga styles including Hatha, Yin, and Restorative as well as Chair. Beginning of practice will always include Pranayama (Breath work) and Meditation. Basic yoga allows you to try out all the different types and find your favorite. It’s also a good class for those who like to mix it up every week.
Open to all levels.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice. It works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues.
Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of prana in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.
Open to all levels
Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is a practice for those who may have difficulty getting up and down on the mat, but also for those who may have a job that requires a lot of sitting. Chair yoga offers the same asanas offered on the mat modified for the chair. Learn asanas that will allow you to remain active throughout your day.
Restorative Yoga
Deeply relax as your body is completely supported in longer held yoga poses. Restorative yoga allows for deep relaxation as you hold poses for longer periods of time with the help of props, including blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps, to completely support you.
The main focus of Restorative Yoga is that by relaxing in poses with the props, without strain or pain, you can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga is very relaxing and slow paced. This practice is great to balance an active yoga schedule or to give yourself a break when you feel overwhelmed and need to slow down; reducing stress in the body and mind.
Open to all levels
Private Lessons
Whether you are brand new to yoga and want to become more familiar with the poses before joining a class, need more customized instruction due to a health condition, or are experienced and want to deepen your practice or challenge yourself, a private lesson can be just what you are looking for. Sessions are individualized, one to one instruction based on your needs. Initial session may require an in-depth discussion to customize your practice.
Meditation Sundays
Meditation teaches us to live in the present moment. While meditating we practice being fully aware of our actions, thoughts, feelings, and emotions, without reacting to them. It is one of the most ancient forms of mental, spiritual and physical health practices. Learn to observe your inner thoughts, feelings and emotions without reacting to them. Meditation is often recommended as a stress management tool, but it is also a way to connect your mind and body, gaining greater awareness and clarity without judgement.
Open to everyone. Morning and evening sessions offered.
There is no cost for this class/session but love donations are accepted.
Yoga Nidra (First Sunday of the Month)
Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” can be described as the conscious state between wakefulness and sleep, allowing deep relaxation and a sense of wellbeing through awareness and the welcoming of all that is present.
Students will be guided to focus their awareness on breath, sensations in the body, emotions and thoughts – observing as a witness and welcoming what comes without getting caught up in the thoughts and sensations.
